The Miniature American Shepherd Club of the USA, Inc. (MASCUSA) is the American Kennel Club Parent Club for the Miniature American Shepherd. MASCUSA ended their registry services in 2016 but the AKC studbook for this breed remains open. MASCSUA entered into a contract with Stock Dog Registry Services to continue the registry services that had previously been provided by the club. Stock Dog Registry Services is the only registry selected by MASCUSA through which dogs can be registered with AKC.
Stock Dog Registry Services was founded in 2016 to provide a pedigree verification process for dogs entering the American Kennel Club as Miniature American Shepherds (MAS) as well as registering litters for offspring of various crosses that wish to enter AKC.

Please see the AKC Registration page for the acceptable registries and current rules and requirements.

As of 12/31/14 Australian Shepherds may no longer register as Miniature American Shepherds.

A dog cannot have an Australian Shepherd as a parent regardless if the parent has been registered as a Mini Aussie.

*Offspring from litters approved until 6/30/24 by SDRS will be able to be registered into AKC through SDRS until 1/1/27.

Visit the Litter Registration Page for the acceptable crosses for puppies that will be eligible for AKC Open Registration.
